Through the Wardrobe
80 children between 4 and 14 years came ‘Through the Wardrobe’ to our Narnia themed Holiday Club this year. The Parish Hall and All Saints Church were brilliantly transformed into scenes from Narnia!
The children and young people came from around our parish to enjoy a fun-packed few days, with musical worship led by Aslan’s Army, a band of musicians aged 6 - 16 years, to hear the Christian story told by C S Lewis from his book ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’.
After a worship and talk session the children broke into 4 age groups for activities including craft, drama and games, before returning back together to enjoy the leaders’ challenge, the J Factor.
The week was led by Anne Maillardet, our Adventurers Leader, and a team of more than 25 helpers.
For children who enjoyed this event,
there was also a
‘Narnia Party’
held on Tuesday 31st October.
