For several weeks we have been preparing for our confirmation. This was on held Sunday evening 4th Nov and was led by the Bishop of Tonbridge, the Rt Rev'd Dr Brian Castle. Simon Heron has been running a confirmation group with us, Carole, Lizzy, Zoe, Lucy and Christopher. Steve and Jackie attended the Thursday evening course 'What Christians believe' in preparation for their confirmation.  The Bishop gave us some images to remember: That we are a ship that needs guidance: A Ship cannot determine the right direction to go without guidance. If left to its own devices it will soon be on the rocks.  He gave us the image of a pantomime, as in 'He's behind you!', where God is not always where we might expect.
