Thanksgiving and Baptism
Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a special occasion to give thanks to God for the child. It is held during the All Age Service and there are usually a number of families giving thanks for their child at the same time, so don't worry about being out at the front on your own! There is no obligation on the parents to attend church or be members of the church. A certificate is given to say that the service has taken place and you or your child can decide later whether to get baptised. If you would like more information, please contact Sue Jones, Parish Administrator for more details.

Baptism

This service is also held at the All Age Service and you are surrounded by your friends and family. Parents and Godparents are expected to declare their faith. You are promising to bring the child up as a Christian in a Christian family and this promise should not be made lightly. We have a short preparation course for everyone considering baptism. Baptism is open to anyone of any age, so if you haven't been baptised yourself and would like more information, please contact Sue Jones, Parish Administrator for more details.
