All Saints Vandalism

A big thank you to everyone who has helped in so many different ways following the vandalism to the Church roof. The North Side of the Church, including the Organ, was badly affected by rainwater rushing in through holes in the roof made by thieves stealing the copper. We are really sorry, but for the time being the North Side of the church is out of commission because of the damage to walls, flooring and pews. The vandalism has been reported to the police as well as to the local media <see video>

When this vandalism first occurred we had to quickly move down to the Parish hall for the Service and last Sunday we held the Service in the Church as normal but with the North Side of the Church cordoned off. We will carry on as usual! We have contacted the insurers and are currently getting quotes for the repairs. It is feared the Organ might be a write off but we will know better once the specialists have taken a look. We are very grateful for your prayers for all those involved with the repair work.
